Guess what?

No...I have not dropped off the face of the earth!  Just been lost in my work lately...getting ready for the holiday bazaars!

Because of my ginormous influx of custom orders, I am doing my last holiday bazaar this Saturday so that I can complete orders in time for Christmas.

But while I'm here, I wanted to update everyone on some good news.  I have opened up my shop to Canada!  I will not offer shipping to anywhere in Canada via priority mail.  Packages will be processed in 1-3 (provided they are not custom orders) and will arrive 6-10 days from send off.  Check out my Etsy shop for current items for sale!

As always, shipping to anywhere in the US is FREE!!!!!  So get your shop on!  Find your unique gift items at Pages of Inspiration!  <3 <3

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello everyone...

Just wanted to put out a quick post just explaining where I've been the last few days.  I'm preparing for a couple holiday bazaars, the first on Black friday and the other on December 1st.  Which  means I have a lot of work to do to be prepared inventory wise!  So I've been really making a point of devoting as much time to that work this week as I can.

But while I'm here, I thought I'd wish everyone a safe and happy holiday weekend!

If you're traveling, be safe!  If you'll be doing any shopping on Black Friday, be safe (lol).  I'll be sure to post an updated blog post after Black Friday to share the success of my day.  Until then, gobble gobble!

My thrifty find turned chic craft room furniture!

I found these two Parson's chairs at Goodwill for only $5 each!  I know, right?  But look at them....they're too, what's the word, PINK!  I mean, don't get me wrong...I love pink.  But this was just too Barbie wedding pink for my craft room.

But I really wanted Parson's chairs for my craft room so I took a chance.  I found some really awesome fabric paint at The Studio in Warsaw, Indiana.  I didn't even know there was such a thing!  I also decided the bows on the back of these chairs were, ahem, hideous.  They had to go!  A seam ripper was just the tool I needed!

Each chair took two cans of fabric paint.  I could have added another coat if I'd wanted a deeper, darker black.  But I kind of liked the way there was a hint of pink coming through the black.  It left kind of an aged feel to a sophisticated piece of furniture.

The chair in the photo is still wet, having just finished painting it.  The dry version doesn't have that shine to it.  It is recommended you let the paint cure for 72 hours.  So I did....I patiently waited, and waited, and waited again.  And finally....

What do you think??  I LOVE them!!  They're actually quite comfortable and it's so much easier to sit "indian style" in these than it was that metal fold up chair.  Plus, the high back allows me to sit back and rest my head and neck occasionally.  I tend to really hunch over my work while I'm crafting.  It's as if I'm in my own little bubble space when I get my face right down over it...lol.  Anyway....I hope this inspires a little thrifty redecorating in your spaces too!

What is your preferred payment method when shopping?

I don't know about you, but I rarely carry cash on me.  I know the same is true about most of my customers.  Sadly, I have lost sales in the past because I was not able to accept credit/debits at craft shows, bazaars, and other events.  But this no longer the case!!  Thanks to Paypal, I am now able to accept all major credit/debit cards via a secured card reader!  Isn't this great news?

So today, I'd like to hear from you!  When you shop, do you prefer to pay with cash or credit?  What are your experiences with paying via smart phone card readers?  I'm anxious to get feedback from you, the consumers!  Comments are welcomed below this post...

Bummer

Ok so despite the rough weekend I'm having this week with my daughter being ill and what not, I'm still trying my hardest to get some work done.  Last night my furnace decided to retire.  "Bummer dude..."  So I packed my daughter and my dog, along with as many craft supplies as I could carry, and hightailed it on over to the besties house to work until I hear from the repair man on when he will be on his way.  Thank goodness for best friends!  Right?

Explosion Boxes

Have you ever heard of Explosion Boxes?  I started making these some time ago, but they are only really just started to get noticed in the paper crafting world.  I made this one a while back and it sold quickly.  The idea is that you can give these in place of a card, or use as a gift card holder (or some other small trinket of choice).  Take a look at the photos below!  When the lid comes off, the box "explodes" open to reveal little pages with spaces for photos or journaling.  This particular one even has a pocket to hold a gift card!  How cute are the embellishements??
